At Travitude Travel Group, we help make your vacation dreams into vacation memories by supporting you every step of the way.  So let's get planning!

Whether it's for a celebration, a milestone birthday or just because you all want to get away, booking a vacation with your tribe can be a wonderful way to spend your holidays.  From besties who want to hit the road to a multigenerational get-together, here are some questions to get the ball rolling:

WHAT ARE THE DETAILS?

  • Who is interested in travelling together:  Who do you know who is itching to get away?  Your best friend?  Your co-workers?  Your sister's family or in-laws?
  • Where do you all want to go:  Which dates work for everyone and which destination would you all be interested in?  (Caribbean resort?  Cruise?  Disney?  Greece?  So many options!)

WHO IS IN CHARGE?

  • Next step would be to reach out to us!  As a Travitude Travel Consultant, we take care of all the details like researching the best deals, securing pricing for your group, gathering everyone's information and booking the plans.  You also get step-by-step support for your group from beginning to end as I can answer everyone's questions and make sure you are all prepared to travel and enjoy yourselves.
  • You will also want to appoint a member of your group as the lead guest.  This person will do the main communication with the group and with me and will stay informed of all the details of the trip and be the go-to person while away.

WHERE WILL YOU STAY?

  • Whether you are booking individual rooms at a resort or sharing a larger space like a house or villa, you'll need to decide who is sleeping in rooms together and the sort of bed configuration you'll need to make sure your group can be accommodated in a way that makes everyone comfortable.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Now for the fun part!  What will you plan to do while you are away together?

  • Communication is key!  You will want to spend some time discussing with your group what everyone's vacation vision is.
  • Understand that people may want to do things that you wouldn't normally choose.  Allow for times in your schedule for everyone to get to do what they want.
  • Remain flexible and open to trying new things or a new way of doing things.  This is one of the best parts of travelling with friends, you get to experience different perspectives of what you can do on vacation!  The late rise may discover the beauty of watching a sunrise with others, your friend may introduce you to a new activity you never thought you'd like, and the picky eater may discover a new dish they love at a restaurant they wouldn't usually go to!
  • Speaking of restaurants: this is one area that you will want to put some forethought into your plans.  Getting a table or tables together for a large group can be tricky and you'll want to make sure you secure your reservations as early as possible for any special meals you want to spend together.
  • Make some time for yourselves to do things individually.  A full week of being attached at the hip is usually too much even for the best of friends!  When I go on a friend-cation, we like to set the expectation that our mornings are for ourselves and daytime activities are kept casual, then in the evenings, we are relaxed and fresh and ready to gather for drinks, dinner and evening activities.

Friend-cations are an opportunity to make lasting memories you will reminisce on for years.  With a little preplanning and the help of a good travel consultant at Travitude Travel Group, your travels will bring you all closer through your shared experiences and happy moments.  You'll be planning your next one before you know it!

Life is about the memories we create with the people we love and the places we go.
